How to reset password or factory reset your pfSense APx

I lost my admin password or my pfSense is no longer accessible!

Don't panic, there are solutions.

My Firewall is an AP2x, AP3x or AP4x.

You can regain control by connecting to the console port in serial mode (115200/8/N/1) with a cable.

From there you have access to a menu:

You have the option to reset the Admin password with choice 3

or

You have the option to put the pfSense back in factory mode with choice 4

There you go, you now have access to your E-WALL Firewall again.
