The Firewall E-WALL EGx box is equipped with pfSense® software version 2.4.x. This firewall very compact, is equipped with a WiFi card b/g/n. This allows you to create a protected WIFI zone to extend the capabilities of the Firewall.
The box has 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, a powerful Celeron N3150 processor, supports AES-NI, and can be equipped with 2, 4 or 8 GB of RAM to accommodate all the additional functions of memory-consuming pfSense® like pfBlockerNG. PfSense® software is a free, open source distribution of FreeBSD, specifically designed to be used as a firewall and router, fully managed via a web interface. In addition to being a flexible and powerful routing and firewall platform, it includes a long list of related features and a package system that allows for additional scalability without adding clutter and potential security vulnerabilities to the basic distribution.
