QSnatch Malware Affecting QNAP NAS
Since mid-October some network activity seems to be coming from QNAP NAS equipment, the information has been collected by the German CERT-Bund.
The information is confirmed since November 1, a malware affects the QNAP servers, it is called QSnatch. It is infected by a program which, through a security vulnerability, installs through an elevation of privilege (System), modifies the firmware of the NAS, downloads malicious programs, and takes control of the NAS. .
